My pathway to training and facilitation began with ten years in the health and fitness industry where I developed from a fitness instructor to the sales teams and sales management. Having led successful sales teams I took on the responsibility for sales and customer service training on a regional level and then had the opportunity to gain operational management experience by managing my own health club. To this day, I still draw on those successes and challenges in the classroom – where I find story telling and the use of real examples helps learners understand how to put theory in to every day practice.
Training and development remained my passion and so in recent years I have been involved in the design and delivery of management and leadership, marketing, customer service and train the trainer programmes to a range of learners working towards intermediate, advanced and higher apprenticeships from within both the private and public sector. I have worked with clients from within the NHS and Local authority as well as global organisations such as AGCO and 3M Healthcare.
I am currently supporting the delivery of leadership and customer service training within DHL supply chain and Tesco.
I am a licensed practitioner of Insights Discovery and use this to help individuals and teams understand themselves better and work more effectively.
