As a Digital Marketing Apprentice, my mornings start with the essentials: checking my inbox, Teams messages, the company digital inbox, and our social channels. This gives me a quick overview of anything urgent. I then look at my tasks for the day, set priorities, and get started.
Once I’m up and running, I begin by monitoring our Amazon presence, checking stock levels, and responding to any customer queries that come through. I also support the wider marketing and product teams with any digital tasks they need help with, whether that’s setting up UTM tracking, preparing campaigns, or troubleshooting issues.
I also manage our e‑learning platform, oversee email campaigns, handle customer issues on our websites, manage our survey platform and bit.ly links, create new surveys when needed, and support our social channels by designing and scheduling posts and campaigns.
I also spend time problem‑solving and resolving internal or external issues quickly to keep everything running smoothly. I work closely with different teams across the business, which keeps things varied and makes the work feel meaningful.
I especially enjoy the creative and e‑commerce aspects of my role, as well as working on system improvements when necessary. These tasks give me a sense of ownership and help me build practical skills.
I chose the apprenticeship route because I’ve always been passionate about digital marketing, and I wanted to start gaining real experience as soon as possible while working toward a qualification. Professional Academy has allowed me to learn the theory behind marketing while putting it directly into practice every day.
Working in digital means there’s always something new to learn, and this apprenticeship has given me the perfect foundation to grow. It’s helped me build confidence, develop a wide range of skills, and understand how digital supports the wider business.
