Mel is a ‘hands on’ and driven sales leader, experienced in marketing and selling complex management solutions into both the public and private sectors. With over 25 years practical sales and marketing experience he has the ability to bring theory to life.
Mel started his career as an accountant working in both the profession and industry before moving into a sales role with an I.T company. Over the past quarter century he has occupied positions from Sales Executive to Sales and Marketing Director and has worked with 'start ups' through to some of the largest international corporations.
Currently he runs his own consultancy organisation providing practical help to smaller companies with their sales and marketing processes and messages.
Mel is an excellent networker, highly numerate and pragmatic who understands how sales and marketing theory can be profitably translated into sales and marketing activity. He has been particularly successful in bringing energy, new methods and ideas to organisations, increasing their turnover and profitability.
He creates a motivational environment and thrives on meeting new challenges whilst applying a calm and quick-witted approach to achieving difficult goals on a soundly planned basis.
When not occupied by business matters Mel volunteers with the West Midlands Ambulance Service as a First Responder .He is also an active member of St John Ambulance. He holds a private pilots licence and is a qualified yacht skipper.
Mel is a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
