About

A bit about me

I have spent my career building and leading professional education organisations that focus on practical, high-quality learning with real workplace impact. As CEO of Professional Academy, I am closely involved in shaping the learner experience, ensuring academic rigour, and maintaining high standards across all programmes.I work closely with delivery teams, employers, and awarding bodies to ensure learners receive clear guidance, meaningful support, and qualifications that genuinely support their career progression.

How I support learners

Practical support, clearly explained

How I help learners

I help learners connect what they are studying with the situations they face at work. Whether you are considering your next career step, tackling a business challenge or simply need some direction, I’m happy to share my experience and help you find a practical way forward.

Ask me about

Ask me about leadership, management, sales, marketing, apprenticeships or professional qualifications. I’m also always happy to discuss a workplace challenge or explore how you can put your learning into practice.
IT is a particular passion of mine, so I am always happy to help solve those niggling technical problems.

What good support looks like

For me, good support begins with listening. It means understanding what you want to achieve, giving you honest and constructive guidance, and making sure you know where to turn when you need help. You should feel supported, but also encouraged to develop your own confidence and independence.

Outside of work

I’m naturally curious and am always looking for better ways of doing things, particularly where education, business and technology come together. I enjoy solving problems, testing new ideas and seeing people become more confident as they put their learning into practice.

Strategic contribution

I help set the Academy’s direction and make sure we continue to respond to what learners and employers actually need. I’m particularly interested in how we can combine high-quality education, new technology and practical business thinking to create better learning experiences and outcomes.

Quality and standards

I take a personal interest in the quality of our programmes and the experience our learners receive. I work closely with colleagues and awarding bodies to maintain high standards, identify where we can improve and ensure that every programme provides real value.

Experience and judgement

My experience covers education, leadership, business management, sales, marketing and technology. This helps me look at challenges from several perspectives, ask the right questions and offer advice that is considered, honest and practical.
