Marketing Executive

I'm a Marketing Executive at Professional Academy, looking after our website, search visibility and advertising. My job is to make sure anyone looking for a qualification can find clear, accurate information and get to the right course without any friction.

About

A bit about me

I'm a Marketing Executive at Professional Academy and have been part of the team since May 2022. I look after our website day to day, along with our search engine optimisation and our paid advertising across Google and Facebook. In practice, that means making sure the information people need is easy to find, that pages work properly, and that anyone searching for a qualification can get to the right course without hunting for it. I care about the whole journey — from someone first landing on a course page, to booking a call, to enrolling — and I try to make each of those steps as clear and straightforward as I can.

Practical support, clearly explained

How I help learners

Most people meet Professional Academy through our website long before they speak to anyone, so I make sure that first experience is a good one. That means course information that's accurate and easy to understand, pages that work properly on any device, and a clear route from reading about a course to booking a call or enrolling. If something is confusing or hard to find, it's my job to fix it.

Ask me about

Anything website related — a page that needs updating, content that looks wrong, or something that isn't working as it should. Also our social media, our Google and Facebook advertising, SEO, and how people are finding and using the site. If you're not sure who to ask, ask me and I'll point you in the right direction.

What good support looks like

Good support means people don't have to work hard to get what they need — no hunting for information, no dead ends, no jargon. If someone leaves our website still unsure what a qualification involves or what to do next, that's on us rather than them. I'd rather give someone a clear, honest answer quickly than a polished one slowly.

Outside of work

Outside of work I play football, and most weekends you'll find me at a soft play centre with my daughter, which keeps me on my toes far more than five-a-side does. I'm also always on the lookout for somewhere new to eat — I'll try anything once.

What I make easier

The point of ordering. If someone hits a problem placing an order, or the course they want isn't showing as available, that's the moment they're most likely to give up — so I try to catch those issues quickly, keep course availability accurate on the site, and make sure there's always a clear route to a person who can help.

Behind the scenes

Most of this work is invisible when it's going well. Broken links, slow pages, outdated course details and tracking that's stopped reporting properly are all things people never notice unless they go wrong — and catching them early is a large part of the job.

How I keep things moving

The website runs quietly in the background of almost every learner journey. I keep it working — course pages accurate and up to date, enquiry forms landing where they should, and the site loading quickly — so that by the time someone speaks to a colleague, they already have the information they need.
