The end-point assessment for ST0596 Marketing Executive, version 1.0, uses three complementary methods and takes a synoptic view of performance in the role.

Assessment methods

  • Multiple-choice knowledge test: a 90-minute online test assesses underpinning marketing knowledge.
  • Project showcase: a work-based project is assessed through a project report, a presentation and questions and answers.
  • Professional discussion: a 50-minute structured discussion with an independent assessor explores the apprentice's wider competence and workplace practice.

The three method grades are combined to determine an overall fail, pass, merit or distinction.

Assessment plan: Skills England, ST0596 version 1.0. Requirements should be confirmed against the version applying to the learner's start date.
