The story
SkillSet, a leading provider of e-learning and training solutions, was designing a comprehensive management-training programme for BP's Business Service Centre in Budapest. It saw an opportunity to add professional accreditation, giving the course greater structure and giving delegates a recognised qualification that could strengthen their career profiles.

The goal
Embed market-recognised professional accreditation in the BP programme to provide structure, motivate delegates and help participants build stronger career profiles.
The route chosen
A CMI Level 3 Management and Leadership route, embedded within SkillSet's BP management-training programme and selected from the appropriate CMI modules.
The support provided
Professional Academy helped SkillSet select the appropriate CMI Level 3 modules and contextualise assignments around BP's desired learning outcomes. It supplied slide sets, speaker notes and study materials; assigned a support tutor to every learner; and acted as an independent third-party test centre. When delegates were seconded to BP projects, Professional Academy and SkillSet worked flexibly around attendance, coursework and examination scheduling.
The outcome
Every one of the 36 delegates on BP's first Budapest Business Service Centre Management Training Programme completed and achieved the CMI Level 3 qualification. BP then commissioned a second programme, and all 14 delegates achieved their qualification too.

Our requirements were not straightforward, but Professional Academy was extremely flexible. They worked closely with us to identify the appropriate modules from the Chartered Management Institute's Level 3 programmes.
