Workshop experience

Our workshops are held at our six study centres based around the country in London, Leeds, Exeter, Derby, Jersey and Cambridge. Each workshop focuses on a single module at a time and are usually delivered over either one or two full days, some Chartered Institute of Marketing workshops are also available as evening workshops.

The workshops provide important components of your studying experience including:

• important face to face time with one of our expert tutors
• working and discussing with other students, sharing experiences and knowledge
• going through and explaining the syllabus content
• discussing the assessment and helping you to understand the application of what you have learnt to your own work experiences and the assessment.

In essence the workshops bring the content alive, provides a unique insight into the theory and how you should apply it to both your assessments and your real life situations.

What do you need to prepare for the workshop?

To get the most from the workshops we recommend that as a minimum, you should read through the Welcome on Board guide so that you can familiarise yourself with the course structure, help and support available and procedures. You may also wish to have begun the subject reading prior to attending although don't worry if you haven't had a chance. If you are studying for a module that is assessed by an exam we advise that you complete more of the subject reading prior to the workshop as sometimes they are scheduled closer to the exam date as they can only be delivered one the exam assessment material has been released.

Workshop tutors

Each of our tutors have their own style and have been carefully selected to ensure they combine both extensive and solid industry experience with the ability to impart this knowledge in an enthusiastic and clear way, and will always be there to help you and to involve you in the learning process. However they are not there to put you on the spot or make you feel uncomfortable. This is a professional, adult learning environment that will be both rewarding and fun.

Workshop flexibility

We understand that many of our students have a hectic life and so as one of our students we offer you workshop mobility whereby you can choose to attend your workshop at whichever study centre is most convenient for you at that time, even if it means attending at a different study centre locations for each module or unit.  What's more, you can even change your study method to suit your circumstances where available.
