Study methods

All of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) qualifications (excluding the Introductory Diploma in Management) are offered as a Complete Learning Package where you will receive everything required to complete your chosen course including:

• all study material - including book pack
• online resources
• a tutor-led one-day workshop for seven of the units (Level 5 & 7 only)
• personal adviser
• tutor support
• tutor feedback on assessments
• Pass Guarantee
• Two years support
• CMI membership.

During the workshops you are taught alongside other students enabling a more interactive approach to your learning. We have found that students benefit greatly from attending these workshops which allow the opportunity to learn face to face, discuss and debate topics and experiences with the tutor and other participants. You will also cover the syllabus topics preparing you for the formal assessment.

Award in Introduction to Management and Leadership

This qualification is offered as supported learning, where you are provided with all the above material, support and guidance required to achieve your chosen qualification but you study from your own pace at home or work.

Diploma in Management and Leadership / Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership

For both qualifications seven of the nine units have a one day tutor-led workshop to support your own studying. The remaining two units are provided through the supported learning study method where you are provided with all the study material and support to help you through your study at home or work.
