The Diploma in Managing Digital Media builds on previous marketing communications experience and considers managing the digital marketing mix in relation to the current environment and expected future trends.

Who is the Diploma in Managing Digital Media for?

Designed for those who are already involved in a marketing role of which an aspect is the implementation of digital marketing.

Entry requirements?

To study for the Diploma in Managing Digital Media you will need to meet at least one of these criteria:

  • suitable competence in a marketing or marketing communications related role
  • any recognised UK degree or equivalent level 5 qualification
  • relevant level 3 or above qualification.

If English is not your first language, evidence of at least IELTS level 6.5 or Trinity ISE III/IV will also be required.

We are currently offering the Diploma in Managing Digital Media at our London Centre and Northern Centre (Leeds).

What will you learn?

By the end of this qualification you will be able to:

  • Explain both existing advances and likely developments in digital communication techniques and identify how these changes challenge and compliment the conventional forms of communication
  • Plan and execute digital campaigns
  • Evaluate the importance if integrating diverse media in communications
  • Discuss the new role of social media and networks in communication
  • Apply the tools available to measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns against key performance indicators and recommend appropriate responses to a given situation

How long will it take?

There are two hand-in/exam dates a year and you can begin your studies at any time. The four modules, studied with our two-day workshops and guided home study will typically take around one year to complete although you can choose to study at a faster or slower pace to suit your requirements. We commit ourselves to support all our students for up to a maximum of two years.

Integrating Digital Media and Branding You will consider the best methods to integrate and evolve both on and offline channels whilst minimising conflict and dissonance amongst stakeholders. Work-based assignment
Implementing Digital Campaigns Looking into the delivery of digital campaigns this module covers areas including digital concepts, project delivery, campaign control and evaluation, and future trends. Work-based assignment
Advertising You will gain an understanding of the function of advertising within the marketing mix, communications mix and society and what is involved in the various stages. Case-study & short answer exam
Public Relations You will gain an understanding of the role digital public relations plays within the business environment and the most effective tools and techniques available. Case-study & short answer exam

There are a number of Cam Foundation exemptions.
