Study methods

There are three main options for studying your Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualifications:

Complete Learning Package - including all necessary workshops
Tailored Learning Package - select whichever individual modules, course material and workshops you require.
Distance Learning - without attending the tutor led workshops

Whichever option you select you will receive all the support required to complete your chosen course including:

• Study material - including handbook and module study guides
• Online resources
• Dedicated student support team
• Personal tutor support
• Tutor feedback on assessments
• Pass Guarantee
• Two years support

Complete Learning Package

In addition to all of the above, as part of the Complete Learning Package you will also receive:

• a tutor-led two-day workshop (or equivalent) for each module (Introductory Certificate in Marketing is a single two-day workshop, and excludes Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing - Stage 2)
• All the core text books which compliment your studies

During the workshops you are taught alongside other students enabling a more interactive approach to your learning. We have found that students benefit greatly from attending these workshops which allow the opportunity to learn face to face, discuss and debate topics and experiences with the tutor and other participants. You will also cover the syllabus topics preparing you for the formal assessment.

Tailored Learning Package

This option is ideal if you have begun your studies elsewhere and only have a few modules to complete or would prefer to study and pay for your modules in separate stages.  The only elements you need to decide are:

• Which individual modules you would like to study
• If you want to attend the workshops
• If you need to buy the recommended core text books

Distance Learning

It is possible to study all of the CIM qualifications (excluding Introductory Certificate) without attending the tutor led workshops. You would still receive all the necessary tutor support, course materials and online resources as detailed above however we do recommend where possible to attend the workshops though as these form a valuable part of your studies and allow for more a in-depth study experience.
